If you always do what you have always done, you'll always get what you have always got.
Got up this morning to the SUN SHINE!! I think I can say, SPRING is on it's way.
After getting out of bed I dived under the shower, washed hair then proceeded to dry hair ***BANG*** but first a fizzle, spark, flame....ARRRGGHH and then the ***BANG*** My hair drier took poorly...OH MY! What a fright I got.
My OH looked it over and fixed the cable......VOILA!! It is fine again. The wires had been splitting and they touched, or something like that anyway, hence the bang etc, maybe I should buy a new hair drier.
James is having trouble with swimming so I said I would take him to the pool today and because my hair drier went BANG I went to the pool with wet hair, it didn't matter as my hair was going to get wet again anyway.
A few years ago James went to the pool with my sister and he got himself into difficulty and had a HUGE fright and now he is scared stiff of the pool. The school have been pushing and pushing him to do his school swimming until eventually it has made him even worse and he is now TERRIFIED!! I thought enough was enough and so we took him to see the doctor and the doctor told us he has a phobia and is going to write to the school.
I thought maybe a one to one with me would help hence taking him this morning. When we got to the pool James started getting very upset to go home. I encouraged him to get changed into his swimming trunks and at least go the side of the pool, still he was upset. We got to the side of the pool but NO WAY would he get into the water, he wouldn't even sit on the side with his feet dangling, he stood well back, against the wall. I got into the water and had a little swim around but James was looking very bothered and kept asking to come home which we did after about 15 minutes.
When we got back from the pool we seen our eldest son a few doors down but did he visit us???.....NOPE! He often does that, visits folk in the avenue but never comes to see his family.
I have to confess to eating for England this week, infact all of us have, we have all had full tummy's all week.
I sure am looking forward to getting back on my RAW track as of tomorrow morning.
Oh! I tried the Dragon Fruit....YUUUUMMY!!
Just to let you know, the police informed me a few days ago that they have now made an arrest regarding my ID being stolen.
BACK TOMORROW.

Aww so sorry about the hairdryer and your son having a phobia. My son also has/had a phobia of water had to cancel the swimming classess, because he would not get in. He is only now getting use to it. I started with a small pool at home in the house and sat in there, he was scared of that too. It took me 3 weeks to get him into a little water in a small pool, I told him that it was like a bath. I put toys in his favourites, balls, hoops, etc, etc. I slowly filled it up till eventually he now will go into the small pool and even puts his head under. The other day at my sister's he even jumped into the big pool with the 'big' kids. luckily they were in and I was close by he still was not scared. Maybe try and start him with a little water in a smaller pool, give him armbands or a ring so he can get use to the water, then slowly fill the pool up, but make sure to be sitting in it and show him that there is nothing to be scared. He might be scared of the splashing, so try and lessen the splashing until he is ok with sitting fully in the water. Slowly increase the amount, till it reaches its maximum and then move him to a bigger pool. If he doesn't want to get in just show him how you are enjoying yourself. Take along the toys and play with them in the pool. Let him wear his ring and armbands and then as he gets use to the water remove one of them at a time. My cousin used this technic on her 10 year old who also has a phobia for water and after a week he was in the pool no ring, no armband enjoying himself and loves making bomb splashes as he calls them. Hope you have a good week and all the best.
